The Rhode Island Special Olympics is hosting the state summer games at URI in Kingston on May 30, 31 and June 1st. The Opening Ceremonies will take place on Friday evening at Meade Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Make sure to come down early to watch athletes compete in their respective sports both on Friday and Saturday. If you are bored come on down to Olympic Village and have fun with the activities they have. My games are on Friday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at 2:00p.m. One final note: if you are planning of attending the opening ceremonies get there early to get a parking spot otherwise you will miss out on an oppoortunity to cheer the athletes.
